SHORT BLASTS OF ALARM ON THE SHOFAR

SHORT BLASTS OF ALARM ON THE SHOFAR

Numbers 10:9

Whenever you go to war in your own land against the enemy who is hostile to you, you are to sound short blasts of alarm. Then you will be remembered before Adonai your God and be delivered from your enemies.

Psalm 106:4-5

Remember me, ADONAI, when You show favor to Your people.Visit me with Your salvation, so I may behold the prosperity of Your chosen ones, exult in the joy of Your nation, and give praise with Your inheritance

Undoubtedly, in the midst of these turbulent times, the Father is reminding us that we must take our positions as watchmen on the ramparts. Therefore, as watchmen, we should be alert and committed in prayer as never before.

During our services this Shabbat, we will sound 9 staccatos blasts of the shofar (the Teruah blasts) and have the chutzpah to call upon HaShem to remember His people and to act on their behalf to defeat their enemies, who are also the enemies of the Almighty.

HaShem also says “ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, And you shall commit to Me the work of My hands” (Isaiah 45:11)

Please join us this Shabbat as we “ask” the LORD in prayer! We will pray directly from scripture:

  1. Whenever you go to war in your own land against the enemy who is hostile to you, you are to sound short blasts of alarm. Then you will be remembered before Adonai your God and be delivered from your enemies. (Numbers 10:9)

  1. Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: “Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, And you shall commit to Me the work of My hands. (Isaiah 45:11)

  1. “Whenever the ark set out, Moses said: ‘Arise O’ Lord let the enemy be scattered, may your foes flee before you.’ (Numbers 10:35)

Please arise out of your comfort zones and come and stand together with us in prayer. Remember that the weather is not a determining factor in this call to prayer. Remember that we are instructed not to neglect the gathering together of God’s people. Arise!

May HaShem bless and keep you near to Him
